Locum Tenens Physician - Plastic Surgeon Needed in NC

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Plastic Surgeon for an impactful 36-day assignment in North Carolina, starting Jul 10, 2026. This inpatient-only role requires expertise in reconstructive plastic surgery, including trauma of the upper and lower extremities, hand surgery, and craniofacial trauma, alongside general plastic surgery. The schedule involves 24-hour shifts, supported by a strong surgical team.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide inpatient-only care
• Actively practice reconstructive plastic surgery, specifically relating to trauma of the upper and lower extremities, hand surgery, and craniofacial trauma
• Perform general plastic surgery procedures
• Manage complex facial trauma reconstruction, both soft tissue and skeletal (full face upper, mid face, and mandible, coverage of cranial defects), for both adult and pediatric patients
• Handle complex upper extremity trauma reconstruction including soft tissue (tendon, peripheral nerve, and vascular below the elbow, and burns) and skeletal, for both adult and pediatric patients
• Perform complex lower extremity soft tissue reconstruction for adult and pediatric patients
• Provide general plastic and reconstructive surgery, breast, and body procedures
• Benefit from strong OR and specialist support (trauma, neurosurgery, general surgery, etc.)
• No ICU duties
• Will not respond to codes
