Job Description

We are actively seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician Assistant for a compelling 84-day locum tenens assignment in Washington, starting Jun 29, 2026. The client requires coverage for three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7 AM to 7 PM, dedicating time to both clinic operations and administrative tasks. In this vital role, you will manage a diverse patient panel, addressing a wide range of needs including follow-ups, new patient visits, acute care, and chronic disease management within a sole practitioner family practice setting.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage a diverse patient panel, including established patients, unestablished patients, and new patient visits, potentially covering patients whose primary provider is on extended leave.
  • Conduct follow-up appointments, new patient visits, and address acute needs such as cold, cough, and flu symptoms.
  • Perform physical examinations and manage chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension, alongside other routine visits.
  • Work three 12-hour shifts per week (7 AM - 7 PM), with dedicated clinic time from 7 AM - 6 PM and administrative time from 6 PM - 7 PM.
  • Operate as a sole practitioner in a family practice clinic environment.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Family Medicine is required.
  • EMR System: Cerner.
