The US Department of Health and Human Services received a record number of HIPAA complaints in 2013, besting the previous record by nearly 5,000. The upward trend is continuing in 2014. Complaint volume is up 45.7% year-over-year through the month of May. TrueVault created the infographic below, which takes a deeper look into the numbers.
