Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine Physician with emergency medicine experience for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Minnesota. The opportunity begins in mid to late Mar 2026 and features a blend of clinic hours, daily hospital rounding, and weekend primary ED coverage, including back-up call responsibilities.

  • Schedule:
  • Monday–Friday: Clinic 9am–5pm; daily hospital rounding 8am–9am
  • Night back-up call for APP: 5pm–8am
  • Weekend: Primary ED coverage Friday 5pm to Monday 8am
  • Assignment: One week per month

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient care in a clinic setting
  • Perform daily hospital rounding on assigned patients
  • Deliver primary ED coverage during assigned weekends
  • Serve as back-up call provider for advanced practice professionals during night shifts
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care

Additional Information
  • Must be licensed to practice in Minnesota
  • Required board certification in Family Medicine
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Experience in emergency medicine is essential
