Job Description

We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in California beginning Nov 17, 2025. This is a 260-day contract working day shifts, Monday through Friday, in an outpatient setting. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care to both new and established patients as part of a collaborative team.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, either 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Function as an independent provider within a multidisciplinary team in an outpatient setting
  • Manage comprehensive patient care, including new consultations and follow-up appointments
  • Counsel and educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and symptom management
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in electronic medical records
  • Demonstrate advanced clinical judgment and strong problem-solving skills
  • Communicate effectively and maintain professionalism at all times

Additional Information
  • At least one year of Hematology/Oncology experience preferred; strong candidates with a passion for the field will be considered
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Must hold a valid and unrestricted California PA license
  • Current National Board Certification (e.g., PA-C)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Furnishing license required
  • DEA license must be obtained within 3 months of starting
