Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to patients admitted overnight
Manage new patient admissions from the Emergency Department or other sources
Respond to acute medical issues and emergencies during night shifts
Complete accurate and timely documentation in the Epic EHR system
Coordinate care with nursing staff, social services, utilization management, and other interdisciplinary teams
Work independently with limited ancillary support and specialist availability overnight
Admit, follow, and manage all patients in the open ICU (no procedures required)
Additional Information
Wisconsin medical license required
Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and DEA certification required
Experience working independently and strong problem-solving skills preferred
