We are seeking an experienced Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in California beginning on Jul 6, 2026. This opportunity spans 120 days and requires weekday coverage, with flexibility for either Monday to Friday or Monday to Thursday, working standard 8:30am to 5:00pm shifts. The role involves collaborating closely with a Rheumatologist and providing care to a steady patient panel in a dynamic clinical environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive care to rheumatology patients, including follow-up and new patient consultations
  • See approximately 15-18 patients per day, with one new patient daily
  • Conduct new patient consults (approx. 30 minutes) and follow-up visits (approx. 20 minutes)
  • Collaborate with supervising Rheumatologist and assist as needed
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation
  • Deliver high-quality patient care aligned with best clinical practices

Additional Information
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in California required
  • Board certification in Rheumatology required
  • Several years of experience as a Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner strongly preferred
  • Ability to adapt to scheduling needs and work both independently and as part of a team
