Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic Needed in Wisconsin

Our client in Wisconsin seeks a skilled Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 45-day assignment. This role involves a dynamic schedule of scheduled shifts and call rotations. The successful candidate will provide first-assist support in the operating room, independently harvest veins, manage patients from pre-op evaluations through post-op ICU/step-down care and discharge, and independently handle post-op complications.

Responsibilities and Duties

• First-assist the surgeon and independently harvest veins in the operating room.
• Handle pre-op evaluations, daily rounds, post-op ICU/step-down care, and discharge planning.
• Manage post-op complications, perform bedside procedures, and respond to urgent/emergent issues.
