Locum Tenens Physician - Emergency Medicine Needed in Indiana

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for an 8-day assignment in Indiana, covering varied shifts, including evenings and nights, as detailed for specific dates in November and December. Our client requires a dedicated professional to perform essential emergency medicine procedures within a Level 2 trauma center.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform required procedures with supporting logs, including Breast Cyst Aspiration, Central Venous pressure catheterization, Endotracheal intubation (20 cases for past 24 months), Lumbar Puncture, Nasal Hemostatic Packing-Placement of Anterior & Posterior, Paracentesis, Suprapubic Bladder Aspiration, Thoracentesis, and moderate sedation
• Work within a Level 2 trauma center at the Midtown location and a Comprehensive Stroke Center at the Gateway facility

• Board Certifications: Emergency Medicine
• EMR: Epic
• Required experience: 2 years minimum experience, clear background with no malpractice preferred
• Setting: 100% Inpatient
• Call Schedule: No Call required
• Patients per day: 15-18 patients per day at Midtown; 2 patients per hour average
• LOA: 8 Days
• Staffing Mix: At Midtown, 2-3 Physicians working during most hours with single APP support 24/7; 40 ER rooms; Annual Volume: 45,000+; 298 hospital beds
