We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for an urgent locum tenens assignment in Texas, starting November 1, 2024. This 3-day assignment involves intermittent shifts across several days, focusing on providing comprehensive emergency medicine care as the sole physician in the ED. Duties include managing a variety of cases, from trauma level 4 to family medicine, including gynecology, obstetrics, and pediatric care.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive emergency medicine care as the only physician in the Emergency Department.
Manage trauma level 4 cases.
Handle family medicine cases, including well woman care, prenatal care, vaginal deliveries, and comprehensive pediatric care for newborns through adolescents.
Additional Information
Board Certification in Emergency Medicine required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
EMR: Medhost.
Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only).
No call responsibilities.
Anticipated patient volume: 30 patients per day.
LOA: 3 Days.
Staffing mix includes 2 RNs and 1 office staff.
