Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Family Practice Needed in Alaska

We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day assignment in Alaska, starting upon credentialing. This role involves a Monday-Friday schedule with varied shifts, either 8:30am-5pm or 10:30am-7pm, focusing on providing comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population. The position requires willingness to travel to remote clinics, including occasional short flights to deliver essential healthcare services.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide primary care services for patients in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Manage a range of acute conditions, including respiratory infections, influenza, urinary tract infections, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
• Address acute back and joint pain, minor injuries and sprains, skin rashes, headaches and migraines, and sexually transmitted infections.
• Treat ear infections and provide support for patients experiencing anxiety and situational stress.
• Travel to satellite clinics in Anchor Point and Seldovia, which includes driving and taking short flights when weather conditions permit.
• Collaborate within a healthcare team that incorporates a holistic approach to patient care, including acupuncture services.

• Providers must be willing to travel to remote village clinics via flight when conditions are safe.
