We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for an impactful 60-day assignment in Pennsylvania. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday with a daily 30-minute unpaid lunch. The physician will provide essential medical care, including daily sick call rounds, managing various consults, and addressing general medical cases such as sutures, splinting, and common acute illnesses.
Responsibilities and Duties
Conduct daily sick call rounds in the morning.
Perform weekly rounds in restricted housing units.
Manage physicals, emergency, admission, and general consultations.
Provide treatment for general medical cases, including sutures, splinting, and common acute illnesses like cold, cough, and flu.
Complete charting and EMR queue reviewal.
Review lab and x-ray results.
Administer IV treatments, manage patients on oxygen, and monitor levels.
Perform sick call rounding and medication management.
Lead preventative health clinics during the first two weeks of every month.
Manage chronic care, referring extreme cases out as needed.
Perform intake evaluations for new inmates, with physicals scheduled yearly for those over 50 and every three years for those under 50.
