Locum Tenens Physician - Family Practice Needed in PA

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for our client in PA for a 60-day assignment starting Sep 28, 2026. This role involves daily sick call rounds in the mornings, alongside physicals, various consults, and managing a range of general medical cases including IV treatments, cold, cough, flu, sutures, and splinting. The typical daily schedule runs from 7:30am to 4pm.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform daily sick call rounds in the morning
• Conduct restricted housing unit rounds once per week
• Manage physicals, emergency consults, and admissions consults
• Address bread and butter cases, including cold, cough, flu, bronchitis, and pain
• Execute sutures and splinting procedures
• Provide IV treatments and oxygen monitoring
• Handle medication management
• Lead preventative health clinics during the first two weeks of each month
• Manage some chronic care cases, with extreme cases referred out
• Perform intake evaluations for new inmates
• Maintain accurate charting and EMR queue reviewal
• Review lab and x-ray results
