Locum Tenens Physician - Gastroenterologist Needed in PA

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist to join our client's team in Pennsylvania for a 56-day assignment beginning Nov 9, 2026. This role involves a 7-day on rotation providing 24-hour call coverage, daily rounding, and conducting 4-6 outpatient procedures Monday through Friday. The rotation typically starts Friday morning and extends to Thursday night, with overnight outreach mostly focused on phone consultations rather than in-hospital presence.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 24-hour call coverage for 7-day rotations
• Perform daily rounding
• Conduct 4-6 outpatient procedures Monday through Friday
• Manage a rotation schedule typically beginning Friday morning and concluding Thursday night
• Handle overnight outreach primarily through phone consultations, with minimal in-hospital presence required
• Execute both inpatient and outpatient procedures

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology required
• EMR: Epic
• Call Schedule: 7 days on, 24-hour call coverage
• Patients per day: 4-6 outpatient procedures M-F
