Locum Tenens Physician - Gastroenterologist Needed in Pennsylvania

Our client in Pennsylvania is seeking a Gastroenterologist for a 56-day assignment, working a 7-on/7-off schedule. This role involves 24-hour call coverage, daily rounding, and 4-6 outpatient procedures Monday through Friday, focusing on comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology duties.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 7 days on, 24-hour call coverage, including rounding
• Perform 4-6 outpatient procedures Monday through Friday
• Manage inpatient and outpatient procedures
• Address call duties
• The rotation typically begins Friday morning and concludes Thursday night
• Minimal need for overnight hospital visits; mostly overnight outreach for phone consults

Additional Information

• Required Board Certifications: Gastroenterology
• Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
• EMR System: Epic
• Setting: Inpatient
• Call Schedule: Out of House Call
• Patient Volume: Approximately 11 inpatient rounding consults per day (shared with APP); 6-7 total patients for inpatient and outpatient
• LOA: 56 Days
• Staffing Mix: An APP is on site rounding Monday-Friday from 7 AM to approximately 4 PM and Saturday from 8 AM to approximately 12 PM. Hospital staff provide assistance with procedures.
