Locum Tenens Physician - Hematologist/Oncologist Needed in NC

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Hematologist/Oncologist Physician for a 120-day assignment in North Carolina, starting Oct 5, 2026. This role involves primarily outpatient practice from 8a-5p, with a 1:3 shared call rotation supported by 24-hour nurse triage. The incoming physician will manage diverse oncology cases, including Breast, Lung, Gastrointestinal, and Genitourinary cancers.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with Breast, Lung, Gastrointestinal, and Genitourinary Oncology needs.
• Maintain a 98% outpatient practice with a 2% call component.
• Participate in a 1:3 shared call rotation, supported by 24-hour nurse triage.
• Opportunity for involvement in Tumor Boards and Cancer Committee activities.
• Treat case types including Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Gastrointestinal (Colorectal) Cancer, and Genitourinary Cancer (including Prostate, Bladder).
• Note: This position does not involve Leukemia, Bone Marrow Biopsies (BMB), Bone Marrow Transplants (BMT), or Stem Cell Transplants (SCT).
