We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician Assistant for a 42-day assignment in Texas. This role involves comprehensive night shift coverage from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a schedule of 7 to 14 shifts per month. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for managing patient admissions, typically 1 to 3 per night, within an inpatient open ICU environment, ensuring continuity of care during evening hours.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive night shift coverage from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Manage patient admissions, averaging 1 to 3 per night.
Deliver care within an inpatient open ICU setting.
Collaborate effectively with the physician on night call to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Assess and treat a volume of 14-18 patients per day during assigned shifts.
Additional Information
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC) required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are essential.
EMR: Epic.
Setting: Inpatient.
No Call required.
Patients per day: 14-18.
LOA: 42 Days.
Staffing Mix: Night shifts include 1 APP and 1 MD on call; Day shifts include 1 MD.
