Locum Tenens Physician - Orthopedic Surgeon Needed in Missouri

Our client in Missouri is seeking a skilled Orthopedic Surgeon for a 90-day assignment. This role involves an on-call schedule where you will perform a range of complex orthopedic surgical procedures, including arthroscopy, total joint replacements of the hip, knee, and shoulder, tendon release/repair, peripheral nerve surgery, and various spinal procedures using instrumentation. You will provide critical orthopaedic surgery services within an inpatient department.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive orthopaedic surgery services.
• Perform Arthroscopy procedures.
• Execute Total Joint replacement, including hip, knee, and shoulder procedures.
• Conduct Tendon release/repair.
• Perform Peripheral nerve surgery.
• Utilize Instrumentation for cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spinal procedures.
• Perform Percutaneous disc surgery.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery required.
• EMR System: Cerner.
• Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Work Setting: Inpatient, 11-bed department.
• Call Schedule: Out-of-house call with 30-minute response time. Average call numbers per 24 hours include 5 phone consults, 4 patients seen, and 4 admissions.
• Patient Volume: Approximately 10 patients per day.
• LOA: 90 Days.
• Staffing Mix: Supported by RN staff.
