We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for an 18-day assignment in California, commencing Oct 19, 2023. This role involves multiple morning shifts and 24-hour out-of-house call periods across October and November. The physician will manage admissions, discharges, and perform essential procedures such as intubation, UAC, UVC, and thoracentesis, while covering ER, OB, and a level 2 NICU.
Responsibilities and Duties
2 hours of rounding in the morning (newborns, NICU, pediatric unit)
24 hour call coverage
Perform intubation, UAC, UVC, and thoracentesis
Inpatient coverage for ER, OB, and level 2 NICU
Manage admissions and discharges
Additional Information
Board Certification: Pediatrics
Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
EMR System: Cerner
Setting: Inpatient
Call Schedule: 24-hour out of house call
Patient Volume: 3-4 nursery, 0-4 pediatric, 2-7 NICU patients per day
LOA: 18 Days
Staffing Mix: One other pediatrics provider on schedule concurrently
