Job Description

Our client in Washington is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for a 30-day assignment starting Nov 24, 2026. This role involves 24-hour call shifts, covering deliveries, c-sections, and pediatric consults. The physician will also round in the newborn nursery and perform routine inpatient procedures such as intubations and A-lines.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 24-hour pediatric hospitalist coverage, including on-call for deliveries, c-sections, and pediatric consults.
  • Round daily in the newborn nursery, typically seeing 2-3 newborns on average for approximately 2 hours.
  • Attend C-sections and deliveries as required.
  • Manage and ship out any complex or high-risk cases.
  • Cover ER call for rare pediatric admissions, averaging 4-7 per month, and run NRP codes.
  • Perform routine inpatient procedures including intubations and A-lines.
  • Maintain a low callback volume.


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Pediatrics, Pediatric Hospital Medicine
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Must possess ACLS and PALS certifications completed through the American Heart Association for credentialing purposes.
