Locum Tenens Psychologist - AZ Needed in Arizona

We are seeking a dedicated Psychologist for a 52-day assignment in Arizona. This role involves maintaining overall clinical responsibility for mental health programs, overseeing screenings and evaluations, performing various patient visits, conducting rounds, and developing comprehensive treatment plans. The schedule offers flexibility, allowing for 3x 10s, 4x 10s, or 5x 8s, with shifts typically from 6:30a to 5:00p.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain overall clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility
• Oversee the completion of mental health screenings and evaluations
• Perform sick call visits and chronic care visits
• Conduct rounds in all units
• Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan, and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
• Coordinate, lead, and participate in educational training activities related to mental health care

• Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Setting: Clinic and Call; this site has an inpatient mental health unit
• No Call required
• Patients per day: 10-15
• LOA: 52 Days
• Staffing Mix: Psych team consists of psychiatrists, psych NPs, and master level physicians
• Cases will include: Crisis intervention, acute psychotic cases, and referrals to psychiatrists for further assessment if needed
