Since Khanna won Barton’s Locum Hero award in 2021, she said she’s been doing “great,” working a flexible day job at her 10 private worker’s compensation practices across southern California.
“Sometimes it’s harder for [healthcare providers] to find the needs for lower-income patients — the patients that really need the help, that are going to fall through the cracks. That’s always been something I’ve been drawn to. It was never about the money or standing in the community, it was all about the patient.”
“I didn’t like the idea of staying put in one place,” Chris said. “As a locum tenens provider, I’ve been able to help more patients, especially those in underserved communities.”
Dr. Cynthia C. combined her passion for caring for patients with her desire to see new places by becoming a locum tenens provider with Barton Associates.
“I have a passion and interest working with Indian Health Services, and so that definitely is a factor in which locum tenens assignments I choose,” Jerie Lynn said.
“I had a great experience [working] with Barton,” Wilkinson said.
Extending his assignment has become so simple that Edwards’ recruiter for the last two years asks him whether he’d like to extend his assignment. He’s said yes every time.
“Barton takes up all the heavy lifting when it comes to the paperwork,” Whitehead said. “All I have to do is just show up.”
Since Dr. Frey began working with Barton Associates, he’s completed around 40 assignments in facilities across the Hoosier State.
