Locum Tenens Physician - Cardiologist Needed in Arkansas

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiologist with expertise in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology for a 63-day assignment in Arkansas. Our client is looking for a Physician to work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, one week per month, with a call schedule including 1:3 weekends and specific weekday nights. This role involves managing transplant, VAD, and ECMO patients, performing heart biopsies, reading echos, and contributing to a hypertension clinic.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage patients with transplants, VADs, and ECMO cannulation
• Perform heart biopsies
• Read echos
• Contribute to the hypertension clinic
• Handle approximately 20 transplants, 40-50 durable VADs, and 100 ECMO cases annually

• Board Certifications: Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology; Cardiology
• Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• EMR: Epic
• Setting: Inpatient
• Call Schedule: Inhouse Call, 1:3 weekends, Monday and Tuesday nights, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the assigned week
• Patients per day: 20-25
• LOA: 63 Days
• Staffing Mix: Sole provider in the clinic with 6-8 APRN support per Physician
