Our client in Pennsylvania is seeking a skilled Anesthetist for a 60-day assignment. This full-time role covers 8-hour (7a-3p) and 10-hour (7a-5p) shifts, Monday through Friday, with full-time monthly shifts expected. The selected professional will perform typical operating room duties within a care team model, handling approximately 40-60 cases per day, including lines, epidurals, and spinals.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform typical operating room duties in a hospital setting with approximately 40-60 cases per day
Start cases at 7:00 AM, with wheels in room by 7:23 AM
Manage case turnovers within 17-22 minutes, depending on the case
Work within a care team model
Administer lines, epidurals, and spinals, contingent on prior experience
Handle a wide range of subspecialties including General, ENT, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Retina, Ortho, Urology, GYN, and Endo
Attend to patients aged 13 and older; no pediatric cases under 13 years old

Other Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Patients per day: Approximately 40-60 cases per day

Staffing Mix: Concurrency is 3:1 or less, targeting 3:1 for heavy volume and pediatrics. Physicians also manage some rooms independently, with anesthesia techs providing support at most locations.
