Locum Tenens Physician - Anesthesiologist Needed in MA

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Physician specializing in Anesthesiology for a 40-day assignment in Massachusetts. This role involves main operating room duties with weekday 8-hour shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM, complemented by 24-hour in-house call during both weekdays and weekends. The Physician will handle a diverse range of cases including Bariatric, ENT, GYN, IR, Ortho-Total Joints, Plastics, POD, Spine, Thoracic, URO, and VASC procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform main operating room duties during weekday shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM.
• Manage 24-hour in-house call for the Main OR on both weekdays and weekends.
• Provide anesthesia for a wide array of cases, including Bariatric, ENT, GYN, IR, Ortho-Total Joints, Plastics, POD, Spine, Thoracic, URO, and VASC procedures.
• Operate within an MD supervised model, personally providing anesthesia care for approximately 20% of cases.
• Utilize ultrasound for blocks as available.
• Collaborate with CRNAs who perform labor epidurals with physician backup as necessary, and supervise CRNAs at 100%.
