Locum Tenens Physician - Anesthesiologist Needed in Oregon

We are seeking an Anesthesiologist for a 60-day assignment in Oregon. This role involves managing 7-28 shifts per month, including weekday shifts from 7a-5p (10hr), 7a-7p (12hr), 7a-11p (16hr), and weekend shifts from 7a-7p (12hr), with remote first call duties. The Anesthesiologist will be responsible for medically supervising CRNAs, performing independent cases, collaborating with the care team, and performing labor epidurals.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide medical supervision for CRNAs in 100% of operative cases.
• Perform independent anesthesia cases as needed, alongside CRNA collaboration.
• Administer labor epidurals.
• Manage anesthesia for a diverse range of cases including Neuro, GI, Cath Lab, General, GYN, OB, Ortho, Vascular, Thoracic, foregut, hepatobiliary, OMFS, ENT, Podiatry, Plastics, Urology, Colorectal, and Radiation Oncology.
• Address off-site anesthesia needs for procedures such as MRI, CT, CVL, and radiation oncology.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Anesthesiology is required.
• Required certifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• The EMR system utilized is Epic.
• This position involves both clinic and call responsibilities, including out-of-house call.
• Call schedule includes remote first call for MDs: M-F 7p-7a and Sat-Sun 7p-7a.
• The anticipated patient volume is 12-14 patients per day.
• LOA: 60 Days
• The staffing mix includes Anesthesiologists and CRNAs.
• The facility is a Trauma Center with 483 Med/Surge Beds and 32 ICU Beds.
• There are 21 ORs and 2 OB Suites on site.
• Ultrasound for blocks is available.
• Pre-assessment testing is supported by employed providers in a pre-admit clinic.
