Locum Tenens Physician - Surgery - Cardiac Needed in TN

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Surgeon for a 90-day assignment in Tennessee, beginning Nov 10, 2026. This vital role involves performing a comprehensive range of cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures, including aneurysm repair, lung resections, and the placement of permanent pacemakers and AICD devices. The schedule for this position will be determined.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform aneurysm repair
• Conduct cardiac procedures
• Execute aorto-thoracic procedures
• Perform lung resection, including VATs
• Conduct chest wall or pleural procedures
• Perform esophagus and diaphragm surgeries
• Place permanent pacemakers
• Implement AICD (Automatic Internal Cardiac Defibrillator)
• Manage left ventricular assist devices

Additional Information

• Required Board Certifications: Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery
• EMR: Cerner
• Cases include: General CV/thoracic surgery (open and endoscopic), coronary artery bypass surgery (on pump and off pump), congenital defects (ASD, VSD, PFO, etc.), valvular repair, and valvular replacement.
