Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Cardiology Critical Care Needed in Missouri

Our client in Missouri is seeking a skilled Cardiology Critical Care Physician Assistant for a 182-day assignment. This role involves a 7 on 7 off night shift schedule, focusing on comprehensive post-operative cardiac surgical care, including patient admissions, discharges, new and follow-up consults, and the removal of various medical devices.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Removing pacing wires
• Removing chest tubes
• Removing drains
• Care coordination
• New consults and follow-up consults
• Occasional admissions
• Discharges
• Provide post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients
• Manage pacemakers

Additional Information

• Required Board Certifications: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC)
• EMR: Epic
• Setting: Clinic and Call
• Call Schedule: Out of house call
• Patients per day: 10-18
• LOA: 182 Days
• Staffing Mix: 3 Cardiothoracic APPs during weekdays, 1 during weekend. 1 attending surgeon is always available.
