Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiothoracic Needed in Pennsylvania

We are seeking a dedicated Surgery - Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner for an immediate start in Pennsylvania. This 45-day assignment involves supporting the heart team in surgery, performing pre-operative physical exams, diagnosing illnesses, assisting in procedures, and managing patient care. The schedule will primarily include nights and weekends, with potential weekday shifts, requiring weekend rounding and on-call coverage as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Support the heart team in surgery
• Perform pre-operative physical exams
• Conduct suture removal
• Diagnose illnesses
• Treat illnesses
• Order tests
• Interpret tests
• Assist in surgical procedures
• Write prescriptions
• Coordinate patient care
• Perform patient rounding
• Execute chest tube insertions
• Perform endoscopic retrieval

• Call Schedule: Out of house call, when needed, including weekend rounding and subsequent on-call coverage
