We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery for a 75-day assignment in Ohio. This role involves a dynamic schedule of Monday through Friday, including occasional night and weekend call, with shifts structured around 7 AM to 5 PM for rounding or 5 PM to 7 AM for call. The successful candidate will manage 12-hour shifts, focusing on routine cardiothoracic cases such as CABG, valves, complex aorta, lobectomy, and VATS, with some involvement in ECMO and vein harvesting.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform 12-hour shifts for night call or day rounding
Conduct 7 AM to 5 PM rounding or 5 PM to 7 AM call shifts
Manage routine cardiothoracic cases including CABG, valves, complex aorta, lobectomy cases, and VATS
Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Setting: Inpatient
Call Schedule: Out of House Call, occasional night and weekend call. Providers must be within 30 minutes of the hospital if local; otherwise, a nearby hotel stay is provided. There is approximately a 7% chance of being called in.
Patients Per Day: 1-4
LOA: 75 Days
Staffing Mix: Four surgeons and four full-time surgical APPs, supported by one part-time APP and one new grad APP in training. The team covers two campuses.
