Our client in California is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular & Thoracic Physician Assistant for an 85-day assignment. This role features 10-hour shifts on an 8-on-6-off rotation, including flexible call coverage 1-2 nights per month. You will primarily cover the OR for RAH and EVH cases, with occasional support for step-down and telemetry units caring for CVICU patients.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Cover the operating room for RAH and EVH cases.
- Provide support to step-down and telemetry units for CVICU patients as needed.
- Demonstrate excellent vein grafting skills, evidenced by recent experience within the past year and maintaining case logs.
- Manage a variety of cardiovascular cases.
- Perform histories and physicals (H&P).
- Participate in procedures such as TAVR.

- Setting: Inpatient
- Call Schedule: 1-2 nights of flexible out-of-house call per month.
- Patients per day: Approximately 4
- LOA: 85 Days
- Staffing Mix: Full surgical and CVICU teams, within a teaching hospital environment that includes residents.
