Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for an 84-day assignment with our client in Missouri, starting Jul 13, 2026. This role involves 0600-1830 shifts, covering both operating room and clinic duties, with a strong focus on endovascular vein harvesting proficiency, assisting in ECMO cannulations, and managing pre and post-operative cases.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide support in both operating room and clinic settings.
  • Demonstrate high proficiency in Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH), completing harvests within 45-60 minutes.
  • Perform radial vein harvesting (preferred).
  • Assist in ECMO cannulations.
  • Participate in cases such as Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), aortic dissection, and Impella placement and removal.
  • Manage pre-operative and post-operative patients, including those on ECMO.
  • Oversee 4-9 patients daily in the consult clinic.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation, with attending physicians present during clinic on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
  • Serve as a solo provider on weekends, with attending physician support available.
