Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeon for a 60-day assignment starting Oct 5, 2026, in Tennessee. This role involves weekday daytime responsibilities from 7 am to 4 pm with out-of-house call, and 24-hour out-of-house call on weekends. The surgeon will handle rounding, OR procedures, ED consults, and 24-hour call, addressing cases like coronary artery disease, valvular disease, congenital heart defects, carotid and peripheral arterial blockages, aneurysms, lung cancer, and venous disease, performing procedures including CABG, valve replacements, lung resections, and leg bypass.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Handle rounding, OR procedures, ED consults, and 24-hour call.
  • Manage weekday daytime responsibilities from 7 am to 4 pm, followed by out-of-house call.
  • Conduct weekend rounding with 24-hour out-of-house call; no scheduled procedures on weekends.
  • Treat coronary artery disease.
  • Address valvular disease processes, including aortic, mitral, and tricuspid conditions.
  • Manage certain congenital heart defects.
  • Treat carotid artery blockages.
  • Address peripheral arterial blockages.
  • Handle aneurysms of the chest, abdomen, and peripherally, including endovascular stent procedures.
  • Manage lung cancer or other lung abnormalities.
  • Treat venous disease.
  • Perform Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), including procedures without a bypass machine.
  • Conduct Aortic or Mitral Valve replacements, including TAVR.
  • Execute lung resections.
  • Perform leg bypass procedures.
