We are seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeon for our client in Wisconsin for a 7-day assignment, commencing Sep 28, 2026. This role involves 7am to 7am shifts, where the physician will evaluate and manage patients needing cardiovascular/thoracic surgery, perform procedures, make timely operative decisions, manage perioperative/postoperative care, and take emergency surgical call.
Responsibilities and Duties
Evaluate and manage patients needing cardiovascular/thoracic surgery
Perform CV/CT procedures within scope of practice and privileges
Make timely, independent operative decisions — proceed to surgery when indicated
Provide definitive management for emergent, urgent, and elective cases
Respond to consults with timely recommendations and disposition
Manage perioperative/postoperative care, including complications
Collaborate with anesthesia, critical care, cardiology, pulmonology, ED, and hospital medicine
Take emergency surgical call as required
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and care teams
