Our client in Wisconsin seeks a dedicated Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeon for a 120-day assignment. This role involves 15-20 shifts per month, encompassing complex procedures such as bypass and valve surgeries, TAVR backup, aortic and vascular cases, and responding to emergent situations, primarily in a call-only setting. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-volume team.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform bypass surgery (CABG)
Execute valve surgery including open and minimally invasive aortic and mitral repair or replacement
Provide TAVR backup, including surgical standby and heart team reviews
Manage aortic and vascular cases, such as aneurysms and related procedures
Respond to emergencies on call, including aortic dissections and unstable transfers from 7 other hospitals

Call Schedule: Out of House Call, 7a-7a shifts
Patients Per Day: 2-15 depending on setting
LOA: 120 Days
Staffing Mix: 1 Vascular Surgeon, 2 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, and a dedicated cohort of 6 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in a ~400 bed hospital
