Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 20-day assignment starting Oct 12, 2026, in California. This role involves working ER 10-hour shifts, operating independently to manage a diverse range of low acuity emergency cases. Responsibilities include performing sutures, assessing patients with chest pain, undifferentiated abdominal pain, conducting pelvic exams, and treating lacerations, eye issues, and headaches.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work independently of Physician supervision.
• Manage low acuity emergency room cases.
• Perform sutures and wound care.
• Evaluate and treat patients experiencing chest pain.
• Assess and manage undifferentiated abdominal pain.
• Conduct pelvic examinations.
• Treat lacerations.
• Perform eye examinations, including the use of slit lamps.
• Manage patient headaches.
• Authorize technicians to perform splints.

Additional Information

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine is required.
