Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine Needed in California

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for an 8-day assignment in California. This critical role involves working 12-hour shifts, managing patient care in dedicated pods, including handling urgent care cases such as belly pain and sick visits, conducting blood work, managing prescription refills, and performing triage duties in the waiting room for efficient patient placement in the emergency department.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 6 12-hour shifts per month
• Work 11 AM to 11 PM in POD B with an RN
• Manage cases including belly pain, blood work, prescription refills, sick visits, and chest pain with no risk factors
• Care for patients who do not require intensive monitoring
• Work 9 AM to 9 PM in POD C
• Conduct triage for the waiting room
• Perform patient intakes and facilitate patient placement in the ER
