Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 2-day assignment with our client in Kansas, starting Sep 3, 2026. This role involves 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, with no call or clinic responsibilities. The practitioner will focus on critical emergency procedures including RSI, intubation, procedural sedation, central line placement, chest tube placement, ultrasounds, lumbar puncture, trauma patient care, joint reduction, and reading X-rays.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work 12-hour shifts with no call or clinic responsibilities.
  • Manage cases requiring RSI.
  • Perform intubation.
  • Conduct procedural sedation.
  • Execute central line placement.
  • Perform chest tube placement.
  • Utilize ultrasounds.
  • Perform lumbar puncture.
  • Provide trauma patient care.
  • Perform joint reduction.
  • Interpret X-rays.


Additional Information

  • Candidates must be board certified in Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine with Focused Practice in Hospital Medicine.
  • The facility uses Meditech EHR.
