Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a 65-day assignment in California, starting Aug 24, 2026. This role involves working independently to manage low acuity ER cases with shifts from 10:45 AM – 9:15 PM. Duties include handling sutures, chest pain, abdominal pain, pelvic exams, lacerations, eye exams, and headaches.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work independently of physician supervision.
  • Manage low acuity emergency room cases, functioning in a fast-track to ER role.
  • Perform procedures such as suturing.
  • Evaluate and treat patients presenting with chest pain, undifferentiated abdominal pain, and lacerations.
  • Conduct pelvic exams and eye exams (including slit lamp use).
  • Address patient complaints like headaches and provide approval for technicians to perform splints.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Emergency Medicine required.
