Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine Needed in California

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for an 8-day assignment in California. This role offers flexible shifts, primarily focusing on 12-hour workdays. The Physician Assistant will primarily manage urgent care cases in POD B from 11a-11p, addressing a range of conditions from belly pain to sick visits, and also assist with patient intake and triage in POD C from 9a-9p.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work six 12-hour shifts per month.
• Operate in POD B from 11 AM to 11 PM alongside an RN.
• Manage urgent care cases including belly pain, blood work, prescription refills, sick visits, and chest pain without cardiac risk.
• Oversee patients who do not require intensive monitoring.
• Work in POD C from 9 AM to 9 PM.
• Perform triage for the waiting room, take patient intakes, and place patients into the ER.
• Address a variety of urgent care scenarios.
