Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine Needed in Kansas

Our client in Kansas is actively seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a focused 3-day assignment. This inpatient role requires participation in a 12-hour shift within a 24-hour coverage model, with no call or clinic responsibilities. The Physician Assistant will be integral to delivering high-quality emergency care, managing a diverse range of critical cases and procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform 12-hour shifts within a 24-hour inpatient coverage model.
• Provide direct emergency patient care with no call or clinic responsibilities.
• Manage and perform procedures including RSI, intubation, procedural sedation, central line placement, chest tube placement, ultrasounds, and lumbar puncture.
• Deliver trauma patient care and perform joint reductions.
• Interpret and read X-rays as part of patient diagnosis and treatment.

• Board Certifications: Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Internal Medicine with Focused Practice in Hospital Medicine.
• Other Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS).
