Locum Tenens Physician - Emergency Medicine Needed in Florida

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician specializing in Emergency Medicine for a 36-day assignment in Florida. The client requires coverage for 12-hour shifts, including both day and night rotations (7a-7p, 7p-7a), to manage an anticipated volume of approximately 42 patients per day within their emergency department. This role involves comprehensive emergency care, integrating with a larger medical center and providing 24 hours of physician coverage in a modern facility.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage an anticipated volume of 15,000 ER visits annually, averaging 42 patients per day.
• Work within a facility fully integrated with HCA Florida Osceola Regional Medical Center.
• Provide 24 hours of physician coverage.
• Utilize 11 emergency room bays, including a fully equipped Trauma bay, within a 10,000 square foot facility.
• Care for patients in all private treatment rooms.
• Oversee diagnostic imaging services, including CT scan, ultrasound, and X-ray.
• Facilitate efficient EMS access via an ambulance bay.
• Ensure seamless care handoff for admitted patients transported to the main campus for intensivist, hospitalist, and specialist care.
