Locum Tenens Physician - Emergency Medicine Needed in Kansas

Our client in Kansas is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 3-day assignment. This role involves 12-hour shifts (7am, 7pm, 6am, 6pm), focusing on critical emergency procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and trauma care, with no call or clinic responsibilities. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive emergency medical services to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform 12-hour shifts
• Provide 12-hour shifts with no call or clinic duties
• Manage cases requiring RSI
• Perform Intubation procedures
• Conduct Procedural Sedation
• Execute Central Line Placement
• Perform Chest Tube Placement
• Utilize Ultrasounds for diagnostics
• Perform Lumbar puncture
• Provide Trauma Patient Care
• Perform Joint Reduction
• Read and interpret X-Rays

• Board Certifications: Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Internal Medicine with Focused Practice in Hospital Medicine
• EMR: Meditech EHR
• Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Setting: Inpatient
• Call Schedule: No Call
• Patients per day: 17-21 (Independent location), 28-50 (Parsons location)
• LOA: 3 Days
• Staffing Mix: Nurses, Techs, and Hospitalists
