Job Description

Our client in Texas is seeking a Family Practice Physician for a 2-day assignment, beginning Jun 1, 2026. This role involves 24-hour shifts, providing essential Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine coverage. The Physician will manage 15-18 patients per shift, performing a wide range of procedures including well-woman care, prenatal care, and newborn resuscitation.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine coverage.
  • Operate within a Trauma Level 4 facility.
  • Manage 15-18 patients per shift in an Emergency Department.
  • Perform a wide range of procedures including well-woman care, prenatal care, vaginal deliveries, newborn care (birth-30 days), infant care (30 days - 1 year), toddler care (1-2 years), child care (3-13 years), adolescent care (13-18 years), and newborn resuscitation.
  • Deliver general outpatient care.
  • Utilize 24-hour support services for Anesthesia, Laboratory, and Radiology.


Additional Information

  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine required.
  • EMR system is Medhost.
