Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for an 84-day assignment in WV, starting Sep 7, 2026. This role involves managing a high volume of diverse emergency cases for all ages during 12-hour shifts, requiring strong independent judgment and clinical skills due to limited immediate access to specialty teams or advanced diagnostic imaging. The successful physician will evaluate and treat a broad spectrum of medical presentations within a Emergency Department.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage a high volume of diverse emergency cases for all ages.
  • Evaluate and treat approximately 30 patients per day within a Emergency Department.
  • Address a broad spectrum of medical presentations including chest pain, stroke evaluation, abdominal pain, respiratory distress, COPD, asthma, and basic pediatric complications.
  • Provide care for orthopedic issues such as simple fractures and lacerations.
  • Perform essential emergency procedures including intubations, central line placements, incisions and drainage, and chest tube placements.
  • Exercise strong independent judgment and clinical skills in an environment with limited immediate access to specialty teams or advanced diagnostic imaging.
