Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Family Practice Needed in AK

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 55-day assignment in Alaska, starting Nov 24, 2026. This role involves managing a wide range of family medicine cases, including acute and chronic care, performing minor procedures, and administrative duties for the clinic. The schedule is 8 AM to 4:30 PM with on-call responsibilities. The successful candidate will be the sole provider in the clinic, offering comprehensive care to the village community.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive family medicine care for acute and chronic conditions, including colds, coughs, flu, diabetes, hypertension, and substance abuse.
• Manage and organize the clinic, including administrative tasks, taking calls, and being responsible for lab services.
• Perform minor procedures such as biopsies, toenail removal, abscess drainage, wound care, laceration repairs, suturing, and splinting.
• Function as the sole provider in the clinic, addressing a variety of patient needs and referring serious cases as appropriate.
• Draw labs as required.
