We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 55-day assignment in Alaska. This critical role requires a provider to manage a diverse patient load encompassing standard family medicine, acute, and chronic care cases. Responsibilities include Monday-Friday clinic hours from 8 AM-4:30 PM with comprehensive Monday-Sunday on-call duties, often serving as the sole provider and overseeing essential clinic administration.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manage standard family medicine cases
Provide acute and chronic care for conditions such as colds, coughs, flu, diabetes, hypertension, and substance abuse
Perform procedures including biopsies, toenail removal, and abscess drainage
Conduct wound care, laceration repairs, suturing, and splinting
Responsible for drawing labs
Manage clinic organization and administrative duties
Handle incoming calls
Serve as the sole provider in the clinic

Setting: Outpatient clinic with out-of-house call
