Job Description

Our client in California is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day assignment, beginning Jul 20, 2026. This role involves providing essential primary care within a rural FQHC setting, covering a provider's sabbatical. Responsibilities include managing a diverse patient panel, seeing mostly adults, and performing some pediatric physicals and well-child checks. The schedule runs Monday to Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm, with Fridays split between telehealth and clinic hours.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide primary care services within an FQHC setting, addressing rural health needs.
  • Manage a diverse patient panel, often presenting with multiple complaints per visit.
  • Cover a provider's sabbatical, focusing primarily on adult patients.
  • Conduct pediatric physicals and well-child checks.
  • Treat a wide range of conditions including cold, cough, flu, hypertension, and diabetes.
  • Offer compassionate care to vulnerable populations, including homeless and LGBTQ patients.
  • Perform annual check-ups and general FQHC primary care.
  • Work a schedule of Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:00pm, and Friday 8:30am-12:30pm for telehealth, followed by 12:30-4:00 in clinic.
