Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for an 8-day assignment with our client in Virginia, starting Jul 30, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive primary care, encompassing physical exams, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, developing treatment plans, and treating a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses. The practice primarily handles family practice cases, with occasional urgent care and women's health cases.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform physical exams and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Order or perform diagnostic tests and interpret results.
  • Prescribe medications as appropriate for patient care.
  • Treat a variety of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Manage family practice cases, including common ailments like colds, coughs, hypertension, UTIs, STIs, and sports physicals.
  • Address urgent care cases, such as lacerations, minor injuries, trauma, suturing, and ingrown toenail removal.
  • Provide women's health services, including Pap smears.
  • Utilize on-site services, including X-ray, ultrasound, and a full laboratory.
