Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Family Practice Needed in WA

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day assignment in Washington. This role focuses on providing comprehensive outpatient primary care, including preventative care, chronic disease management, and acute care for a diverse patient population, operating on a standard daytime schedule.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide preventative care, wellness exams, and chronic disease management for conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
• Manage acute care needs, including minor injuries, infections, respiratory issues, and urgent walk-ins.
• Address behavioral health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and provide substance use support as applicable.
• Perform basic gynecological care, screenings, and family planning services within scope.
• Conduct routine pediatric check-ups and manage common childhood illnesses if within provider scope.
• Perform procedures including toenail removal, suturing, I&Ds, Nexplanon insertion and removal (with onsite training), wound care, and wart removal.
• Participate in a MAT program.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions across a diverse patient population.
• Collaborate with on-site clinical staff and support care coordination efforts.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and comply with clinic protocols.
• Support underserved and tribal health initiatives with culturally competent care.

Additional Information

• EMR: Greenway
• Outpatient setting
• Shift hours: 8 AM to 5 PM
• Required to perform procedures such as Nexplanon insertion and removal (training available on site), suturing, and participation in a MAT program.
