Locum Tenens Physician - Family Practice Needed in AK

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for a 120-day assignment in Alaska, starting Jan 4, 2027. The schedule involves Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm shifts. This role focuses on managing a diverse primary care patient panel, addressing urgent care needs, and performing various procedures including suturing and women's health services within a rural/Indian health setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage a primary care patient panel population.
• Provide urgent care services, including common procedures like fish hook removals.
• Serve a rural/Indian health Alaska population.
• Perform suturing, splintering, pap smears, pelvic exams, and IUD removal and insertions.
• Manage complex chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, hyperlipidemia, COPD, chronic pain, and foot care.
• Care for pediatric patients as needed.
