Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 156-day assignment in California, starting Sep 7, 2026. Our client is looking for a dedicated professional to work 9am - 5pm, seeing an average of 20 patients per day (approximately 2 patients per hour). This role focuses on preventative care, including wellness checks, medication management, and follow-ups for patients aged 2 to end of life, with occasional walk-ins for conditions such as respiratory tract infections.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • See an average of 20 patients per day, spanning ages 2 to end of life
  • Provide comprehensive preventative care in all aspects of family medicine
  • Handle wellness checks and patient follow-ups
  • Manage medication refills and ongoing medication plans
  • Conduct routine check-ups and maintain treatment plans
  • Monitor blood pressure, manage diabetes, and assist with weight management
  • Address walk-in patients, potentially for conditions like respiratory tract infections
  • Utilize support staff, including two Medical Assistants
