Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Family Practice Needed in California

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment in California. Our client is looking for a dedicated provider to work a Monday to Friday schedule, primarily focusing on general primary care within an FQHC setting. This role involves managing a diverse adult patient population, addressing rural health needs, and performing various primary care duties including annual check-ups and specific women's health procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive primary care services within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting.
• Address rural health aspects and manage complex patient presentations, often with multiple complaints per visit.
• Care for primarily adult patients, covering conditions such as cold, cough, flu, hypertension, and diabetes.
• Offer specialized care for vulnerable populations including those experiencing homelessness and LGBTQ+ individuals.
• Conduct annual check-ups, school physicals for children, and well-child checks.
• Perform women's health procedures such as IUD and Nexplanon removals.
• Cover a provider sabbatical, ensuring continuity of care for the patient base.
